Since 2010 the StandUp Portugal Academy, is an enterprise of tourist animation registered with license nº. 129/2011, and recommended by Turismo de Portugal for the practice and development of Stand Up Paddleboarding with the registration nº 88/2011.

 

Upon agreement with tourist operators and hotels, we offer programs of Stand Up Paddleboarding for national and foreign tourists in privileged locations in Silver Coast.

 

The SUPAcademy has pioneered the practice of SUP in Portugal. Having been the first company in Portugal to obtain licenses to practice Stand Up Paddleboarding by Tourism of Portugal and the Peniche and Nazaré captaincy. We are also proud to be pioneers of SUP Yoga in Portugal!

The SUPAcademy have their headquarters in Obidos and schools in Obidos Lagoon and the bay of São Martinho do Porto near Nazare Beach.

 

The SUPAcademy have an agreement with the ASUPP - Association of Stand Up Paddleboarding of Portugal, allowing to use in its activities the instructors team of ASUPP, certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation.
Since 2010 the SUPAcademy teaches SUP to many different groups of people with private tuition, larger groups and families.

 

The level of licenses obtained by SUPAcademy allow you to give SUP classes throughout the Portuguese territory, including a special license ICNB to do SUP tours in the nature reserve island of Berlenga, considered from June 30th, 2011 UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

 

The SUPAcademy, sponsors the ASUPP in organizing the National Championship SUP conducted in Obidos in the areas of SUP Waves and SUP Race.
Sponsorship includes the ASUPP athletes team who compete for National Championship SUP, and SUP World Championship where they participate. It is part of ASUPP athletes team the current national champions SUP Wave and SUP Race.
